About Me
I was born and raised on the Oregon Coast. I moved to
Portland from Newport 22 years ago to attend business
school. I graduated in 1999 from Heald College Of
Business, with a Diploma in Computerized Business
Administration.

After graduation I worked in office environments in
various administrative roles. I did this for
many years but was never quite happy. I felt like a
“square peg” in a round hole. No matter how hard you
try to make it fit... it just doesn't. So, I traded my
business attire for more casual attire - my dress shoes
for flats - and made a career and life changing decision
to become a nanny.

After making this decision, I decided to continue my education by attending workshops in the community and online. I currently have over 600 hours of early childhood education credit. I have applied these hours, along with some college credit, to the Oregon Registry, which is a statewide program that recognizes the professional growth and achievement of people who care for children. I am currently on step 9 of 12, and will continue my education to complete all 12 steps.

I have been working in the child care industry
for the past 14 years. However, I have 20+ years of
personal experience caring for, raising, and loving
children. Though I have experience with all ages of
children, I am strictly an infant/toddler nanny
(0-3yrs). Their natural curiosity, honesty, and
innocence about the world around them is truly amazing!
By nature I am a very caring and nurturing person. It
is no wonder that this is my favorite age group and the
group I have the most experience with, as they are the
ones in most need of love and guidance.

I am a very fun-loving and active nanny. I belong to several local groups which allow me to network and to provide group outings with other care providers and their children. I believe that children - especially babies - are learning and absorbing things all the time. I enjoy fostering this learning and natural curiosity by stimulating them with fun and educational activities. Whether it be reading books, doing an art project, playing with sensory items, or going out and exploring our wonderful city, I am constantly looking for new and fun ways to engage with the children in my care.
